Daphne’s Does Breakfast

Ponsonby’s favourite taverna have added breakfast to their repertoire of fantastic food on offer. The Remix Team hit Daphne’s on Thursday morning to taste test the new menu, and, to no one’s surprise, the consensus was five stars. Especially raved about were the Chickpea pancake with smoked salmon, the Egg & raclette milk bun, and of course, the gorgeous coffees. Very stoked to have a new go-to brunch spot!

Kate Sylvester Announces Closure

After three decades at the forefront of New Zealand women’s fashion, fashion designer Kate Sylvester has announced the closure of her label. A fave of Dame Jacinda Ardern and Bic Runga, Kate Sylvester has become an icon of timeless, well-made fashion, and a designer which will be very missed. In their announcement, Founders and Directors Kate Sylvester & Wayne Conway thanked all of those who have joined them on their 31 year journey, adding, “Fashion is all about change, something we’ve never feared and always embraced. We want to go out the way we came into this business, still loving what we do and being truly happy to do it.” On the brighter side, they still have one more collection to bless us with this Summer, and we know it will be excellent as ever!

Dreaming of WOW

World of Wearable Arts is back with a show like never before. In “DREAM AWAKE”, audiences will encounter six awe-inspiring dreamscapes directly influenced by the competition design themes. Plus, a new stage design will bring the wearable art garments closer than ever. After last years success, largely brought about by the talents of Executive Creative Director Brian Burke, we can’t wait to experience what WOW has in store.

Fisher Announces NZ Shows

One of dance music’s most recognisable names is headed to New Zealand. Australian DJ Fisher will play two massive shows, one in Christchurch at Hagley Park on Jan 10th 2025 and one in Auckland at Victoria Park on Jan 11th 2025. He hasn’t been to New Zealand in over six years so it’s sure to be a biggie. His OUT 2 LUNCH Festival in Australia recently sold out 30,000 tickets, so be sure to get in quick to the Spark pre-sale, beginning on Monday April 15 at 7.00 pm.

Tomorrow, Sat April 13th, is the last day of Wynn Hamlyn’s archive sale. Lizzy McAlpine's New Album

Lizzy McAlpine has returned with a whole new album, Older. Older shows a musical maturity the name suggests, while maintaining the ceilings singer’s trademark vulnerability. The closing track, Vortex, is a gorgeous outro to the album, flaunting a heartbreaking bridge and impressive production, done by Mason Stoops and McAlpine herself. Whether you’re ready for a cry, or just to admire Lizzy's impressive vocals, this is definitely one to check out!
